Functionality isn't the issue, its comfort and ease of use, you think most people are going to want to hold the controller one handed while manipulating the wand with the other?  It doesn't sound comfortable and will probably put off a lot of people.

I remember saying this was fail after the E3 mention of this...and your post is my point

I remember saying saying motion controls to HD consoles was fail. Oh wait, it's still in my sig.

To add to the topic, I still feel exactly the same. This wand is turning out to be seriousley stupid by the sounds of it.
