How so? I mean, my stance has usually been that I'd rather play a game like that with a mouse, but I'm curious to know why this is so terrible.
I will say, however, that I seriously question the ability of users to control the Dualshock/Sixaxis controllers with just one hand while holding it in the air like that. When there was a controller vs keyboard/mouse debate in the summer, I found a config for Team Fortress 2 so I could try the game with a PS3 controller (since the analog sticks wont be mapped correctly without it). After playing with just the controller, I tried using the mouse as I normally would and using controller instead of the keyboard. Partly due to the weight of the controller and the fact that the button placement is ment for two hands. The only way I've found I can do that is if I anchor the controller by digging the right side into my leg.
Perhaps they should release new controller that's merely a redesigned left half of the standard controller or release some kind of accessory that can support the controller's weight so you can better grip the controller with just one hand.
