I believe that all countries have to have a balance between socialist policies and capitalist ones. A leading party though should be neither. Our main 3 parties, while designated in their left, right and 'the other party who's leader we never remember' (Nick Clegg), are all still have what might be considered 'left' policies, modern associations would clarifiy them as centre-left, centre-right and centre really. Like someone once said, Conservatives wouldn't dream of getting rid of the NHS. But then Labour haven't tried to regain control of privatised services like public transportation. |
im sorry, how could any of the 3 main party's be classified as centre-left?
