It would be much better to shift GT PSP to March and have GT5 ready for the holidays...

I disagree.
Why do you feel the PS3 Slim the exclusives we know of FF in japan and multiplat games arent good enough for the holiday?
Do you not think a massive globally popular game like GT5 in a slow period for gaming would spark more interest in the PS brand?
I see the people trying to make this into a debacle as nothing more than people looking for a lame reason to slight Sony.
This release date makes complete sense based on Slim sales and software for this holiday. There is a threshold for system sales. Theres a cap or limit so to speak, the market wont just enlarge above the threshold. Releasing GT5 in march would create not only more software sales due to less software available but also increase hardware more since the threshold has more space between normal sales in march and a ceiling, than already inflated holiday sales and that ceiling.

The PS3 slim is just hardware, by itself it won't give the PS3 massive momentum, and neither will multiplat games which are available on a cheaper console. GT5 is a real system seller, combined with the price cut it could be a real attention-getter for the holiday season...
If you think GT5 wouldn't have a big effect on PS3 holiday sales, I think you're pretty much alone in that opinion...

I honestly dont think it would provide as big of a bump considering its already bumped from the holiday. There is a cap. The amount of people who would jump this holiday due to GT5 is far less than the amount who will jump in March. imo.
