Starcraft, you thread instantly failed when you said the ps3 doesn't come close to the best standalone Blu-Ray players. It's the best player on the market right now, and keeps getting better with every firmware update. BD-J 1.1 should be coming with update 2.0.
Just because the ps2 was a crappy DVD player doesn't mean the ps3 is a crappy Blu-Ray player. Sony bet the format war on this beast, so why would they make it a shoddy Blu-Ray player?
