Wow, gotta say I'm freaking loving ODST so far.

The new pistol and SMG are soooo awesome.

Story is paced fantasticly. The tone while your the rookie is very very lonely and tense. Buck is awesome. Halo control and gameplay is unrivaled for a fps on consoles.

Cod 4 says Hi :p

I've never liked the Halo gameplay, but I like the Halo science fiction. For some reason playing as an ODST looked like it would be fun. I'm gonna try this eventually, but you guys are making me excited for it now. Is the gameplay drastically different from when you are the Chief? Or is it just rehashed with no shield/special abilities.

Yeah I respect peoples opinions when it comes to games...but personally I don't know how people can like COD campaigns more than halo.

COD enemies have absolutely zero AI... the game jsut spams you with enemies who run out and want to shoot you in the face, until you cross the line which stops them from spawning. In higher difficulties, COD becomes an enemy and grenade spam fest. Not to mention the game feels so scripted.. Tasks always involve picking up a rocket launcher, sniper or some other gun...and then having a gameplay sequence. I started laughing when I was told for the 10th time in COD4 to "pick up the rocket launcher and disable the tank"... what if i want to disable it some other way? Oh right... I cant.

Halo on the other hand will throw many enemies at you, all of which have their own AI. They will try to flank you and will regroup if you kill most of their team. They will side step attacks... the little aliens will run around in panic if you shoot their Brute leader. AI is superb. Not to mention that, just like Halflife 2, there are many ways to approach an enemy.

Those giant scarabs for example, in ODSt you need to fight them and you can destroy them from the air with a banshe, shoot their legs out and climb aboard or jsut rop out of a banshee and take it on form the inside. I love having choices like that. Makes for great replay value...
