I've never liked the Halo gameplay, but I like the Halo science fiction. For some reason playing as an ODST looked like it would be fun. I'm gonna try this eventually, but you guys are making me excited for it now. Is the gameplay drastically different from when you are the Chief? Or is it just rehashed with no shield/special abilities. |
Halo says Hi!
I've owned every Call of Duty released and am a huge fan of both but I gotta give my props to Halo over COD personally. Really it just comes down to if you prefer a very tight, twitch shooter (COD) or a more arcadey but very tigh controls as well (Halo) shooter. Personally I'll take halo any day with its awesome vehicles, weapons, and intensity. But Modern Warfare 2 will be amazing and a first day purchase for me as well.
When your the Rookie it def, has a very different feel than the Chief. A big part of that isn't neccessarily gameplay mechanics but more the setting, and emotion of the game. However health packs, the fact you can't take near as much damage, silenced weapons, the new VISR upgrade, no motion tracker, etc. do have a huge impact as well. Trust me when you play as the rookie your fully aware your not some invincible juggernaut like the Master Chief is.
