While its cool. and welcomed by me. Its hard to say that this really matters in the larger sense of it all.

If this had been announced and done at launch = huge. Now, its just too hard to differentiate and make it a huge selling point with most consumers.

If sega started making the dreamcast to be sold per order online would it be huge? No. Sony already has a ps2 on the market, is it huge, no.

Its cool for a small group of consumers, but the scale and massiveness of this news just isnt there, imo, to the larger general consumer.

The reason Sony broke huge ground with the PSX and PS2 and why nintendo did so with NES, SNES, Wii is by offering a console with games people were excited about for the systems.

Trying to make one product all products so to speak, especially this late in the life cycle ust wont have an impact like new exclusive software that people can get excited about for the system to spark sales.
