no they were comparing because there is still very little info on what the protection contains. Each song downlaoded is a different size so you could download one song thats 3MBs and your friend could downlaod the same song and it would be 7MBs. Thats not cool. 


Way to exaggerate. The article said the biggest difference was 360kb, which is quite a bit, but nowhere near several megs.

In fact, the article said what data is on the MP3 isn't exactly know. It could be bad, it could be nothing. Either way, it doesn't absolve Sony of questionable business practices.
