Japan is irrelevant??
The Wii is selling faster than the PS2 (don't come up with the price shit), the PS3 is selling a little slower than the Gamecube and the 360 is selling a little lower than Xbox.
I think the console hardware sales are as healthy as ever, and you fail because the holidays are coming and sales will definitely pick up.
Don't worry if SMG sales are low now, because this game will have long legs and will be a strong seller for months.
This forum is unnecessary, we should wait until next year to see if Japan is irrelevant or not (and remember that Smash Bros. and Wii Fit are coming to the Wii, so we have to see how they do).
