We had our old desktop taken in for a diagnostic scan and it cost us $199 for the scan (which took up 2-3 hours). Then one time my second laptop (the one that had gotten destroyed in a carwreck last summer) had an error (turns out it somehow got a virus) and the desktop booted up to a black screen, so I left math class ASAP and went to Geek Squad. One of the guys opened up the Task Manager, typed in "Explorer" for a new Task, and got everything loaded. Then he wanted to charge me $30 for him doing that. I went APESHIT then. I couldn't leave Best Buy for not paying for his 'service,' so I called my dad to come settle things and we did. Ended in getting Geek Squad written up after reporting it online, so that Best Buy had to change its standards/service prices. |
So since you werent smart enough to do this yourself and needed to bring it to someone, you were pissed off they charged you? Its called a service for a reason. If you dont like the price, dont use the service. That or figure it out yourself.
