That argument is ignorant. You can connect PC to you TV just as well as any console. Or for that matter you can play console on 15" lcd monitor (x360/ps3)

I've connected a PC to a large screen TV and its inconvenient. You can also plug your Xbox 360 into your PC and use LAN tunneling software to avoid paying for Xbox Live, but would you?

My room mate and I considered it with his Xbox, but we were unable to get it working.
