Depends what you are exposed to first when your a little kid, always seem the first thing is the best thing.
I was first exposed to japan anime first then moved to U.S at the age of 8, all the American cartoon is piece of shit to me. Yes! even as a kid I dont like watching those junks. I dont like crap that never ends, and reruns forever. every time I get home after school I'll do Homework or Play videogame until those junk cartoons finish and my favorite show "Married With Children" start showing around 5pm.
