He didn't say at the end of the rescission, he said at the end of the recovery. Somehow, we are going to recover from this without jobs, and then when we are at the end of the recovery, jobs will just come. Obama, you lie! Well, your are either lying to people, or that's the stupidest thing I have heard in a long time. Take your pick http://www.cnn.com/2009/POLITICS/09/20/obama.king/index.html |
I've heard that from several sources actually. Jobs are supposedly always the last part of the economy to recover. Nobody wants to hire any new people until they can pay off all their recession debt and get a little breathing room, and it takes a while. It sucks ass, especially out here in California. I'm competing for shitty restaurant jobs with several other college graduates. My friend with a Master's just got some crappy assistant job. It's hell out here.

Hey, come on, it was a really stupid thing, a future president voting AGAINST letting Nintendo buy a baseball team? Yamauchi wanted to buy the Seattle Mariners so he could keep them in Seattle. They were gonna get bought out and forced to move across the country, and Yamauchi and Nintendo wanted to give something back to the local community, so they wanted to pitch in and let the city keep their own baseball team. A future president voted AGAINST that, because he's Japanese. It was part of the whole anti-Japanese racism from the 80's when everybody was afraid of Japan taking over everything, since Mario became more famous than Mickey Mouse and Sony just bought Columbia Pictures, etc etc etc. And it was total racist bullshit.
