Not bad for a game that only took 1 year to develop :) Lets see anybody else produce a game in 12 months and get reviews this high.

Ummm, Insomniac says hi. They do it year after year.

Bungie obviously did an amazing job on this title and the average review score is going to show that. Even if I personally don't think it's worth the money and even a little underhanded of them to double the price without doubling the content, for me I am so anxious to get a copy in from gamefly. I'm loving the mood of this game. like one of the reviews said, it seems like they were influenced in one way or another by Bioshock, which to me only means really, really good things. As far as campeign, this game looks SO much better then Halo 3, I thought Halo 3 had a mediocre campaign but it looks like Bungie really justified things with this release. With an actual sequal coming next year, I'm hoping they only continue to improve apon the halo 3 base.

Insomniac's games (Ratchet & Clank/Resistance) don't take one year to develop... They release a game every year because of a thing called simultaneous development.

ODST actually took Bungie 12 months from start to finish. REACH on the other hand Bungie started development shortly after Halo 3 was released.

Insomniac also have more employees then Bungie.

Best do this now so I don't have to come back and answer you again...

Before you bring up Ratchet & Clank: Quest for booty... "76". And according to the reviews it was a 4 hour campaign with no replay value which is less then ODST offers I must say.

And to finish off I must point out I love the Ratchet & Clank series. It's one of the only few good platformers left. I just had to back up my previous comment.

Wow. Bungie is smaller then Insomniac? I didn't know that. That's actually pretty amazing.

Yeah, not by much though ;)

Bungie recruit atleast one new employee every 1-2 weeks though. They have a little interview session on the front page of the official website.

Quite a few branched off to work with closely with Microsoft on non-Bungie Halo projects (343 industries I believe?) shortly after Halo 3 was launched.
