They said the same thing about having a VC2 around Jan/Feb. They said that if VC sells well there could be a sequel... and it sold well.
Then all of a sudden there was a sequel. I really doubt they really meant what they said there because the development of VC2 would have started sooner then when they made those comments.
I would take this as there will be VC3 on ps3, and it will be releasedsometime next holiday season.
