the whole thing is a joke except for the very last couple lines.
This is the quote from Iwata that people never seem to read: "The wii's main competitor is indifference to video games". Their (nintendo's) job, is to get people who don't usually play video games, to play video games. Dropping the price is good for that.
The whole thing is a parody, because any reason why the price drop is bad is already a joke.
