Today I got my email response from EA. Apparently, Madden 08 isn't too buggy, as they think the problem is either a dirty/scratched disc, or my Wii is defective. They told me to wipe my disc, to which I replied that would not help, unless it will remove the craptastic coding from the disc.
I also told them that I had only asked two questions, and this time I wanted them answered: is a patch coming and are there newer and bug-free pressings of the disc available.
For years we've heard stories of Nintendo's spectacular customer service. Recently Microsoft has introduced an unprecedented warranty service for the 360(which was the least they could do). It would be nice if EA would take a page out of these guy's books and show some respect to it's customers.
