I don't think DD will take off, not for a long while, we already know Nintendo won't be going DD only next gen, and they are the market leader, and most customers won't be interested in DD only, customers like physical media and they like to be able to buy used, in fact the rush to DD only will likely cause more problems for these companies, because most consumers will avoid those products
