People don't hire illegal immigrants because they can't find Americans who will do the work, they hire them because they are cheep. They don't need to follow employment laws.

As soon as you legalize them, 12 million more people will cross the border, and fill the roles they were filling.

I dunno.  It's not like legal citizens can't do work under the table.

It's very common in spain.  I've heard of some citizens doing that here.  Working under the table while still collecting unemployment.

Mostly construction.

I think it's more that they're used because these people have no barganing power.  Which will slightly be changed but i doubt enough to change your entire workforce.
