I know a guy that is just about to get out of medical school and be a doctor and he's 200k in the hole. Ironically in order to afford these colleges you need government grants (or wealthy parents). Other wise you're going to spend a decade or decades paying what essentially amounts to an extra mortgage payment in addition to all of your normal life expenses after college. Makes me wonder how many young "small government" enthusiasts took grant money to go to college without batting an eye. |
I didn't. Though I went to a community college for 2 years then transfered to a 4 year.
Though i actually think government grants for schooling is a good idea.
The more educated the a populace is the better... and a lot of underprivldeged people's parents are so shitty they can't get regular loans.
Never fair that your parents having poor credit screws you.
