i think her voice fits her character.... why so japanophile? =s

She had great tone, conveyed enthusiasm with every line, maintained a consistent accent (natural or otherwise), and emphasized her words well.  I would have preferred a slightly more laid back accent like the VA if Arumi of Abenobashi but that's my preference.

I came to the conclusion a while ago that most vgChartz members wouldn't know good voice acting if it bit them in the arse.

Look, I know country accents. Many around me do, and I was born in Texas. It's a bad country accent.

I would also add that while enthusiasm was there, it sounded forced and disingenuous. Some of blame falls on the dialogue rather than the actress, but I can't call any acting good unless it sounds genuine and natural.

My grandmother has a pretty thick country accent, and it doesn't sound much like that. Her voice sounded more of a parody of country people rather than geniune voice.

I hope you understand that I was agreeing with you, and disagreeing with Words. I can't claim an intimate familiarity with Southern accents, but it screamed 'fake' to me all the same. I was just adding that her enthusiasm sounded as fake as her accent.
