Except that he hasn't sold anywhere near as many albums or singles as Elvis. Which means he isn't bigger. Hitting number 1 is a great milestone but it doesn't mean his music will have the legs the Kings music has.

For example look at AC/DC's Back in Black Album. It never hit number 1 in America and yet its shipped over 22 million copies there.

Again hitting number 1 is great, but it really doesn't mean the album will go on to sell anything remarkable in the long term.

To be fair to Jay Z Elvis had a 40 years headstart when It came to selling records.

Very very true. Look, I'm not trying to say that what Jay Z has done isn't impressive, it abosolutely is.

But thats exactly the point, Elvis's music is still relevant and selling well now. Hell his albums of  number 1's sold something like  10 million copies ww this decade. There is no way of knowing how relevant Jay Z's music will be in 40 years. Which is exaclt my point, there is no point saying he's bigger then Elvis yet. Its far too soon.

But people forget just how big Elvis is, he's the 3rd highest selling act in America ever. He's sold more albums then the likes of MJ, U2, AC/DC, Zepplin. And more then any of them WW Bar the Beatles (or depending on sources MJ but thats besides the point).

ALSO, can people that are saying hip-hop isn't music just shut up, you may not like it but rejecting it as music reeks of ignorance. Its exactly the same as Classical music snobs that snub rock. There are plenty of innovative artists in the genre. Hell look at Outkast or MIA. Both very interesting acts.  If you can't see that then fine, you don't have to like it (I'm not a huge fan myself) but that does not mean it isn't music.

For this whole post my respect for you jumped tenfold. The bolded especially

"In video game terms, RPGs are games that involve a form of separate battles taking place with a specialized battle system and the use of a system that increases your power through a form of points.

Sure, what you say is the definition, but the connotation of RPGs is what they are in video games." - dtewi
