I only played the first BK but I can assure you I didn't play it for the humor in the least, so that wouldn't get me interested in BK3.
As for the people who talk bad about it, well, yeah... they wanted a platformer. 360 is desperately short of good ones, and BK is easily among the top tier of non-Nintendo platformers. Not catering to the franchise's established audience is sort of a kick in the groin.
That said, it is probably a good game, but many people simply won't give it a chance because it's not what they wanted. That's not wrong, though. At $60 if the core experience isn't what you're looking for it's not worth the investment. People who still gave it a try and didn't like it almost certainly felt ripped off, and anyone who feels like that is justified in telling people that they too may feel ripped off if they buy the game. Many people who liked BK/BT for what they were are, after all, probably best off avoiding the game if they only want more of the same.
