It certainly wouldn't be good for Sony to have to pony up the extra money. But these things happen all the time. Just like laptop batteries, the RROD, and dozens of other problems that happen to electronics daily.

If this same program was out and instead of Sony it had Microsoft in the title, somehow I think there would be a big difference in the posts here. Jeez...


There would be a big difference because it's well known and proven Microsofts problems. The PS3's 'problems' of a 0.5% failure rate have been sensationalized by the BBC.
