And N64 was beaten, so clearly the market didn't like it, also even if you argue inflation, Its still too expensive, why do you think used game sales are so strong

games were 50$ on the NES.

And people felt the games were worth it, and many were, they are games that are now classics, most games today will never be classics, and aren't worth $60, let alone even $50

A $50 game in 1985 = $98 in todays dollar.

And they were worth it, on the other hand, I wouldn't pay even $60 for most games today
