Sony would NOT repair them outside of ONE year warranty without a payment. They refuse to accept they are all the same fault and say it is not an inherent design problem.

Here theres 2 years warrenty :p here in denmark.. Also sony said that "fewer than one half of one per cent of units have been reported as failing in circumstances where the yellow indicator is illuminated."
