I don't know exact figures for PC gamers, maybe nobody really does, but the minimum estimate of 10% of PC users being also gamers means at least 100million gamers amongst WinXP users alone, so we can at least say that PC gamers and console ones are in the same order of magnitude, with PC being one order of magnitude greater than a lot of single console platforms (we won't be able to tell it for this gen until it's over, but we can predict that Wii has very good chances to end in the same order of magnitude as PC gamers, with figures possibly greater than XP gamers). To cut it short, despite the crisis, both PC and console gaming look healthy enough, despite what the respective haters wish.
