need some help with computer monitor, doesn't automatically turn on

ive been having this problem for a while, but it wasnt that bad

 

at first the monitor would turn on after a couple of seconds, then it turned to a couple of minutes

 

now today it took an hour for it to turn on, what can be the problem?

checked the cables and everything is connected right
