In the 70's and early 80's, the PC gaming scene was pretty much composed of hobbyists making small PC games as a hobby. And it was only in the 90's that PC reached mainstream, something consoles had done in the 80's. PC gaming was never bigger than Console gaming, but now it is starting to challenge them. PC gaming will keep gaining space the more this gen continues. |
Oh for God's sake
The fact that gamers back then were all hobbyists who had to manually enter code for their own games (until the early 80's) doesn't mean that they did not compose the gaming scene! yes, it was smaller then, but PC gaming was all that there was in terms of video games for many, many years!
