I've been writing music for probobly half my life now.  Electronic mainly, started as industrial and techno, now predominantly hip hop, drum n bass, and house.  I've done music for some commercials, indie films, and d grade movies before, always wanted to do games.  A freind of mine hasbeen doing games for a while, and now he's at the point he's making decent games, and wants the audio to be a step up, so he's enlisted me.  I'm not really caring about revenue off this or anthing, just want to learn more about tailoring music and sound to a game.  I can't go into too much detail on the game as he wants to keep it under wraps.  But this is what I've always wanted to get into.

Any advice from anyone here?  Anyone experienced?  Anyone know how I can try to use this as a springboard to more work on games?

I am excited I must say.  This may turn out to be nothing, but it's cool nonetheless.

Last year's game of the year turned out to be Silent Hill : Shattered Memories (online GOTY was COD 6).  This year's GOTY leader to me is Heavy Rain.
