I think these adds are great and a huge improvement over the other ones. Yes these appeal very much to the hardcore group, but they did say on the blog that more ads are to come so they may in fact show some of the titles that will appeal to the ladies.
However, I live with two female roommates and I think they would get a kick out of this ad as fellow gamers.
