Yes you can, just like many did at the launch of games like Eternal Sonata and Bioshock for the PS3, both of which even had bonus contents.
It's all about your passion for the said game versus your economy, if you believe the game is good enough you'll buy it regardless. The extra contents are simply their to entice more people into believing that the product isn't a late port that can be gotten from its competitor's console at a bargain price (it essentially is).
In the end, it has more to do with marketing and image than anything else.
