My guess, only 2 Fire Emblem characters per title.  I wouldn't be surprised if the next Smash Bros. had Marth and the newest sword-wielding protaganist in the Fire Emblem series.

Oh thats retarded. They can have like 5 mario characters. I liked Roy. And besides Smash Bros needs more females anyway.
