Muslims don't consider him the messiah, just the latest and greatest in a long line of prophets which includes Jesus.

I know Islam considers Jesus to be a prophet, but Muhammad is said to be the one who heard correctly from Allah or something along those lines?

Yeah, Muhammad's more up-to-date, with the latest bulletin from on high, but he's not the messiah.

Islam, like Judaism, is still waiting for the messiah to show up.
