Most of the memorable Star Wars and Indiana Jones scenes were "written" by Harrison Ford. Like when he shoots that guy. That was Harrison Ford. "I love you." "I Know". Harrison Ford. etc. |
You don't think Raiders was good, with that great Kasdan script, fantastic sense of fun and pitch perfect cast? Not sure I trust your judgement there. Temple of Doom and Crusade (and Crystal Skulls) were all pretty average with a few good bits, but Raiders remains a respected classic.
Also, Ford only added a few bits here and there. The shooting was conceived by Speilberg and Ford when Ford has such a bad stomach bug he literally couldn't perform for more than a few moments at a time in front of the camera - hence an elaborate fight was hastily altered to a single (very memorable) shot.
He did indeed come up with 'I know' after many takes and feeling (quite correctly) that the scripted 'I love you, too' was not in character for Han Solo.
Try to be reasonable... its easier than you think...
