| Slimebeast said: - ("We oppose the homosexual movement's efforts to convince our society that their behavior is normal") - I oppose it too. It's not normal (although everything doesn't have to be normal, but please don't lie) - The AFA also actively promotes the idea that homosexuality is a choice and sexual orientation can be changed through religious teachings in ex-gay ministries. - This is very logical for a Christian to believe. Even some psychologists and behaviourists etc believe sexual orientation can be culturally/socially altered. - they are against of same-sex marriage. - I am too. They can call it 'registered partnership', but plz dont call it marriage. - In Spring 2005 the AFA launched a boycott of Ford for advertising in gay magazines, donating to gay-rights organizations, and sponsoring gay pride celebrations. - Well, Israel critics boycot Israel too, but no one thinks that's very shocking. Sony fans boyot Microsoft etc. Anti-Semitic: They believe that obscene content on television and in movies is a result of the media being controlled by Jews, who intentionally place anti-Christian messages and activities into their programming to undermine Christianity. - This i mostly disagree with, but do you have evidence that this is exactly what this organization says? |
I'd just like to say that the Christian religion does not encourage gay couples, so being against same sex marriage isn't really huge surprise. Honestly, I'm a Christian, and I accept gays and that they are that way, and that they may not want to change (or they feel that they are unable to change; I sure as hell know that I could never be gay or bisexual. The thought of it honestly disgusts me). Now all of you gays out there (who want Christian churches to perform same sex marriages) need to accept that I disagree with your choice, and I am very much against you trying to change my religion so that you can get married in a Christian church. Same sex marriage is not a Christian marriage. I'm sorry, that's my opinion on that.
If you want to be married, go to a government institution to legalize it, form your own religion, whatever. Just don't bring it into Christianity.
Also, it is perfectly fine for someone to participate in a boycott. Seriously, they happen all the time. How is this a big deal?
I will admit that there are some radical groups out there who are very anti gays, and they need to accept the fact that they can't force their ideals on everyone else in the same way that the gays can't force their ideals on everyone. There are problems on both sides.
