The only thing I'd say explicitly happened to me was a floating mattress when I was 15 or 16. I was having one of those falling dreams. I woke up abruptly and noticed the ceiling was closer than it should have been. I was only allowed to contemplate this for about a second when the mattress fell a few feet back onto the bed. The metal under the bed rattled pretty loudly too when I landed. I didn't move for a good 5 minutes. I've never had anything like that happen to me again.

This happens to lots of people. What happens is your still partially dreaming when you wake up in your bed, and your brain mixes the two experiences of falling and waking up. That or your body lunges up. It happened to me many times, feeling like I fell into my bed.

I didn't lunge up, the mattress fell down. I have a mirror on the other side of my room and caught a glimpse of it in the air. I'm sure it would be easier to go into denial and act like I came out of Eternal Darkness screamining "THIS. ISN'T. REALLY. HAPPENING!" But I'm the type of person that deals with things when they happen, even if they don't make sense.
