Having just bought my PS3, I say let the generation live on. With the graphics that I have seen on Fight Night Round 4 and Gears 3 (on my 360) and Uncharted and LBP (on PS3), I don't feel any need at all for a new console generation. I say just keep making games for the stuff we have. My enthusiasm for Natal has GREATLY decreased since E3, but if they are going to use that to lengthen the generation, then so be it.
