Let me quote myself:
I don't know about most of the people here but I don't have all day, every day to play video games. I have limited time each day/week to play. I love playing RPGs but they're long so they eat up a lot of time. On the first playthrough, it's all new and interesting so it's fine. However on other playthroughs, if I've seen/done 99% of what there is to see/do in the game then I'm essentially wasting my time to a certain extent.
Games with multiple endings or large branching plots or various large-scale changes based on player input make worthy replays. KotOR, Jade Empire, Baldur's Gate 2, and many others have a lot of things which change based on player decisions and make each replay a fresh experience. This is a sharp contrast to the Persona 4 replayability which just means carrying over a few things and an additional enemy/fusion/weapons.
