NO IT DOES NOT.  Again, a used copy has already 'caused' money to be paid to developers, whereas a pirated copy has not. 

The mere fact that no further money goes to developers in the case of used games does not make them equivalent. 

Wrong.  I buy the game, dump the DVD's and put up a torrent, or upload it to Rapidshare or whatever.

Money went to the devs, and then they don't see one further cent from all the other people who use this copy of the game, just as the case is with used sales.
