A single ad or campaign can appeal to just one section of the product demographic and target other ads down the road at the rest. So in conclusion it is a good ad and it will sell consoles to its target demographic. I think Bodhesatva would agree with that. But I don't think you agree or understand me when I say that Sony should be thinking about the women and it should be trying to appeal to them on some level. |
They are getting the wii casue its cheep and its software is family/child oriented.
This is a $400 or $500 console and theres not one reason for a girl/women to buy it now. To make the ad more girl friendly would be a waste.
A commercial with Singstar, Buzz, home, LittleBigPlanet, Afrika should be made to appeal to women and be put on during girly kid shows and oprah, but now they have no produts that appeal to that demographic.
