Mario Bros 3 is definitely in my Top 5 games of all time
It had many improvements over the original Mario Bros and they came out on during the same gen
the variety of themes for each world was the best thing about the game...so it never got repetitive
Also it took me years to beat the game in 1 sitting since I never bought the GBA version and as far as I know you couldn't save your file on the NES version. Last summer I hooked up my NES and beat SMB3 in about 8 hours.
