Also, pirating games starts at or before launch. Used games are resold after an initial purchase. Every used game has been bought. Pirated copies have never been bought.

Not to mention the years of hardship pirating has put on PC gamers.

SO does the developer see your money? No. Does a developer see your money when you buy used? No. Same difference.

Justification like that is usually a terrible defense because you're really just showing off that you know you're wrong and grasping at straws.

It's not justification, the end result is the same. If anythign youa re justifying yourself about the used market, knowing exactly what it does.

And the rental system is even worse. Only a handful of games are bought for rental pruposes, yet each copy is probably played by dozens of people who most likely will never buy the game they're playing! That, to me, is very close to piracy. Afterall, don't pirates also have to buy the game to be able to rip it off?!
