The port on the left is DisplayPort.

Yes. There will also be a version of the 5870 that runs SIX monitors using DisplayPort for a total max resolution of 7680x3200. And you can have four cards together, meaning 24-monitor configs are allowed. Oh, and seamless to the OS, so no bugs.
