The thing had PS2 graphics at a time when everyone was still playing the PS1. The only reason it didn't sell was that everyone expected the PS2's abilities to blow it away on day one (which didn't happen until years later). On top of that, the launch library was among the best seen on any system ever.

I hated Sega in those days, but the Dreamcast got it right.

The Dreamcast actually had better graphics than PS2 back then.

Totally agreed!  I bought a Dreamcast because I couldn't find a PS2 (my cousin did).  I was getting some really cheap games because the console had just been announced discontinued.  I was coming home with Jet Grind Radio, Soul Calibur, Shenmue, Dead or Alive 2, and Resident Evil CV, for $10-$20 each.  My cousin was trying to impress me with Red Faction, Street Fighter EX, and Onimusha.  I was winning everytime!!
