Again, what was new with L4D2? Oh yeah. Some new characters, weapons, and maps.

How many sequels do you think there are that give much more than that?

Sure, there are some sequels that do give more than just completely new maps, new story, new characters, new enemies, improved gameplay, revamped core gameplay (AI Director) but given how most sequels go, this one is pretty good.

The next time you try to pwn someone and sound witty think before you press post.

Yeah, keyword is Some, L4D2 not being one of them. New story? Ha. Never played the first one have we? And New enemies is more like "3 new SI (one of which ment to be in the first L4D)". So what do we have left. New maps and an AI Director that makes a repetetive game seem a little more fresh due to random zombie respawns.

The next time you try to pwn someone and try to sound superior, think before you press post. Because theres no need for the attitude. Its teh internetz!

Have you even looked at what L4D2 offers?  If it were the same exact game just being released next year it would be praised as game of the year by all.

  • Story-- This time the campaigns are connected and form a story.  While this isn't anything huge, it's more than last game and on par with some other popular games.  Also, since it is Valve I'm sure they will tell an awesome story through the environment.
  • New Special Infected -- Yes, so far all the new special infected are a big deal because they completely change the way survivors play.  Charges make the survivors move.  Spitters make the survivors spread out.  Jockeys move a survivor (and the rest must follow) into bad places.  Again, look at other sequels and this is absolutely on par.
  • New Uncommon Infected -- Not only do we have new special infected but there are new uncommon infected enemies like the haz mat suit zombies and the riot police zombies that both have special qualities.  This is something completely new to the game and I'm sure there are more (like the clown I keep seeing).
  • New Maps -- Again, typical sequel stuff.
  • AI Director -- The AI Director has been made meaner and more badass.  Think of any game with a sequel and think of its main gameplay hook.  I'm guessing whatever that hook was they improved it.  The way you're even talking about the AI Director makes it seem like you don't even like L4D so I'm actually a little puzzled why 1) you're in the thread and 2) you care enough to post in the first place.
  • New Weapons -- One more time, typical sequel stuff but still important.  There's something like five or six different melee weapons that all have their ups and downs (and unbreakable, yay!) along with all the new guns.

So yeah, I've thought before I typed, I've even played the original game for more than an hour, and I've actually looked at what the new games offers, have you?

I doubt it!

  • You didn't think before you typed because you're just spouting off garbage that is either wrong or doesn't make sense.
  • I doubt you've played the original for more than an hour because you have no idea what the AI director and don't seem to like the game anyways.
  • You have no idea what L4D2 actually offers, you're just trying to jump in on the chance to hate on it.
