Thanks for the detailed response, that clears up the tech quite a bit. I'm not a huge fan of motion control unless it can be well incorporated in the games I like to play but it will be interesting to see what direction each piece of hardware takes their respective console. From what you say it seems that the PSEye has similar features to Natal but lacks the accuracy needed to enable it to be incorporated into games using anything other than simple gestures (as seen on Eye Toy) without using the Wand. The accuracy of the Wand does give me some hope that maybe it can be used in more 'core' games. The possible implications for its use in RTS games could be quite exciting. |
Yeah, the Sony Wand tech looks pretty darn good. Sword and shield games just scream to be made.
