The interesting thing is noone waited for elite price drop lol also why Arcade users didn't decide to upgrade to elite ? - actually they have more reasons to rebuy hardware than Ps3 owners. lol at haters

OT - obviously there will be a big drop - it's normal - I go with270k

Likely because a lot of Arcade users are casual who were attracted by the $200 price so they won't rush out to buy a new model. Chances are their needs are settled. I expect a lot of hardcore users bought the PS3 which explains the huge boost but casuals will wait a little while to buy one.

Believe it or not, I know several hard-core gamers who got Arcades knowing they would have access to a cheap, second-hand hard drive.  Most didn't need WiFi as they had a router close by.  In fact, my primary 360 (I have two) is an Arcade I recently bought.  I knew I was going to be able to get a 120 GB for cheaper than retail, I already had 6 wireless controllers and 3 wireless headsets for my 360 Pro, and I already had the HDMI cables I needed so I had no reason to spend the money on an Elite.

If Elites included WiFi as well as the hard drive, it might be a better option.
