I figured out why it is so hard for a sequel to outperform a classic game

Sometimes sequel tries too much to change something that is not broken.
Sometimes they forgot fans and try make new fans.

Or simply, first game is best there is (Dmc,Mgs,Grandia,Dino Crisis,Onimusha).
